Sheep
Our woolly gentle friends live in two flocks. One of 6 consisting of Mekki, who started it all in the summer of 2021, and his 5 girls who joined him a few months later. The other flock of 17 lives on the large meadow of the farm house and stem from the takeover of the neighboring farm in the summer of 2022. They all enjoy roaming the meadows in the mornings and evenings, leaving them enough time in between for an extensive siesta. And once in a while they go absolutely crazy for some dry bread.
Cow(s)
At the moment we have one cow. Colette, a calf born in February 2024 whose mother died most likely giving birth. Luckily, the neighboring farmer found her and as he was unable to bottle-feed her, brought her to us. Now that she seems to be doing fine and here to stay, we hopefully find her some company soon. We have room for 2-3 cows more. So should you know of one that needs a home, get in touch with us.
Humans
Marianne, Micky and Markus, we are the founders of Passion Animal Sanctuary and the only animals who are exploited here :D. We do all the stuff like administration, website development, social media posts, visiting markets and events, buying materials and more. But it’s all amply rewarded by the doing main activity: interacting and taking care of our other animals. Markus as the only permanent resident at the moment has the luck to do that every day.
